Her appreciation for nature, with its inherent qualities, is where her work begins. The delineation or building process and methods employed are what propels her to engage at a deeper level, meditative while working as the forms reveal themselves. The spaces in-between are just as important as the shapes and solid forms.
"When carving stone or wood, removing material away from its initial block, is when the dialogue develops. I am working in tandem, responding to something larger than life, the ethereal. I am most happy working within solitude and silence watching the forms and spaces in between unfold. If I am truly listening, the dialogue takes me on a journey into the unknown.'
