REGS path as an artist started off in the field of photography. The thrill of photography did not last long after he learned how to cast sculpture.
After college his bread-and-butter job was working in production foundries, which increased his skill base. Since he has retired, he has directed his time to increasing his catalog of sculpture. One of the activities he enjoys is doing Foundry In A Box presentations to schools and other groups. FIAB is where they can create a casting to take home. Another activity he enjoys is working with the sculpture students at UW-Whitewater sharing his skills with them and also learning from them.
In the design of his sculpture, he likes to explore the relationship between positive and negative spaces. While working in production foundries he learned the importance of craftmanship and carries that over to his sculpture.
